Incidentally, this is why mixing alcohol and, say, Red Bull is a really bad idea. Because the alcohol will make you just as hammered, but you won’t get any fatigue along with it because your body can’t notice fatigue. So you’re wired as shit, you think you have lots of energy, and your judgement is still impaired.
It’s really not. I mean, if you’re somewhere safe and somebody responsible took your keys, maybe, but even then you can give yourself alcohol poisoning and not feel it coming as easily. There’s a good reason why 4Loko stopped being a thing.
It seems crazy, but some form of caffeine before a nap surcharges it for me and I don’t wake up all groggy.
Caffeine kicks in 40 min after drinking it, so yes, the numbers adds up…
