I still don’t understand why Alonso is so keen on Lance getting good results
Since his time at wec Alonso has learnt the benefit of teamwork. It’s not the first time since his return that he’s played the team game, he helped Ocon with his maiden win. I assume Alonso is hoping for some payback further down the line. That didn’t happen with Ocon but maybe it will with Lance.
@florge I also have the feeling he doesn’t see him as a threat, at least no so far, so that makes easier for him to show that he cares about how Lance is doing

As long as Lance doesn’t start to crash him out like Ocon did near the end, I think Alonso will be cool with him. Also, boss’ son and all that.
