If it was a calim from a shady startup - I would be skeptical. But this is Toyota.

    Like every company who claims major breakthrough battery technology, i’ll be happy to see it if it’s true, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

    Their share price has been hounded since mid-2022. I see this, without any data to back it up, as something to give shareholders to hold on to and not too much more.

    Still great news for solid state batteries to know the big players are all hounding for the first breakthrough.

      Gonna second you, this just sounds like a sop to investors and nothing more. Yet, I still have hope that Toyota will start catching up soon.

      Wouldn’t it be hilarious if the car lost power but we could plug our phones into our car and drive a few miles or km to a charging station?
