That sounds pretty interesting, would be glad to hear what you’ve got to say about it. Not often we hear about Indian culture here, which I think is important, since most people here seem to be from the US, so it would be valuable for them to know.

Don’t forget that many indigenous American peoples and tribes were wholesale destroyed, either culturally (zero people speak the language at all - 8% was averaged over all indigenous people) or physically (they are all dead). No such comparison exists because China is not settler-colonists.

Furthermore, the indian residential fake schools in the european diaspora countries from 1850s to 1998 (and continued unofficially after 1998) never have cultural assimilation as their primary goal. The goals of the residential fake schools were child labor, unethical experimentations for both psychopathic desire and healthcare research like the modern food guide for healthy diet, development of torture tools like electric chair that the european diaspora later deployed in afghanistan, inheritance thief fraud from abducted children, thief of allowance money, savage indoctrinations, and other war crimes that they taught the nazi german to commit in the holocaust. Now the conservative racist Western european diaspora are making fake reconciliation where they obstructed the voice of the enslaved first nation people in the reconciliation process, plan flawed reparation procedures, sabotage the reparation money, use the stolen money to fund fake news that held first nation chiefs as scapegoat, and claim that reparation, land ownership, rent collection right and debt collection right are ‘free’ money that ‘spoiled’ the victim of free riding. The european immigrants are now using chemical weapons with the dumping of toxic factory chemicals and toxic landfill with leachate into the federal reserves to force the first nation people to surrender the indian status that sustain their land ownership right, rent collection right, debt collection right, and right for reparation from crimes.

Lhassa is still one of the most guarded cities in the world and Buddhist monks there are not allowed to talk to any outsiders. Reportedly, few of them are even allowed to enter the areas where the visitors are, when they are allowed it is under heavy surveillance. The surveillance extends to most of the city. Many reports say that the city still feels like it is under occupation.

There was a de facto independance from China, and China had to resort to a military solution to take back that region.

How is that a successful integration ?

To be clear I’m absolutely not defending the US everything they touch turns to shit and not surprising anymore, I’m just trying to understand how the situation in Tibet can be considered a good example of integration

Others may be able to go into a bit more detail, but here are at least some images (NSFW/NSFL) of what the serfs had to endure from their slaveowners for centuries, including their brief ‘de facto’ independence which was during civil war followed by Japanese invasion followed by more civil war.

Cutting off limbs (akin to what happened in Congo), human sacrifice of young girls and skinning kids and adults (using their skin and bones to create instruments) doesn’t exactly match the mystical and beautiful image of feudal Tibet that western media tends to portray. There was no way this slaveowning class was ever going to ‘integrate peacefully’ especially if serfdom was to be abolished and the working class be granted land at all.

This is the same slaveowning class that the CIA funded in 1967 to try to take back the region, the same class that the western media darling Dalai Lama is a part of.

Can understand why these questions are asked from a western perspective since they’ll usually teach that history started in 1951 when the evil red communists invaded a holy land, evicted its holy leaders etc. Only you yourself can decide whether to deprogram yourself and see the horrors or continue to believe the current narrative.

As for being guarded, we understand that westerners enjoy travelling, especially these exotic and spiritual pilgrimages which would make for a nice story. As with the same case in 新疆 in recent years, of course foreigners will be tightly monitored especially with the proven history of their western governments actively funding separatist extremist movements in their attempts to destabilise and ultimately balkanise their state designated enemies.

(If the above link doesn’t work, here’s an alternate one, again NSFL warning)

My bad, the part about Tibet’s independence was there in response to another comment, I forgot to delete it.

And about everything being guarded, I wouldn’t care a rat’s ass about what rich people are allowed to do while travelling, I’m actually more concerned about what freedoms the locals lack.

I’m already aware of what happened in Tibet and the horrors that happened there, and I’m already a communist, and I don’t want nor mean to defend any capitalist ideal, but I don’t think the situation in Tibet is going well for the local population (to my knowledge, I welcome any new information about the current situation, I think my information is at least 5 years old)

          1. The chinese nation is the PRC.
          2. The party has the offial english acronym CPC, not CCP.
          3. Tibet has been part of China since the Yuan dynasty(the mongol one). So around 700 years. Closer to 800, but who’s counting.

So please stop being a dumb lib. Nothing of that was hard to find out.

Literally only the Tibetan “government in exile” (formed in 2011) and the CIA hold this opinion

            Says who?

I can’t find any sources other than the CCP in 1951 that say otherwise.

You’re also using a state controlled agency to report your facts on one side but an independent source on the other.

The ROC holds that Tibet has been part of China since 1792 at latest, which is the consensus of non-PRC historians everywhere. The Qing Dynasty fully integrated Tibet, though Tibet and China had been co-ruled as part of the same country with no meaningful distinction since the 14th century.

lol, say we go back in time to the Qin Dynasty to restore China’s borders to the liberal wet dream balkanisation map where only the ‘Han majority proper’ reside. It’s 200 BC and their beloved anglo empires also should vanish into dust.

Date fixed as my drunk ass mixed up AD with BC

Fun fact, their balkanisation maps often don’t even include the original territory of Kingdom of Qin as Chinese and/or Han. Also Qin Dynasty fallen in 206 but BC. The balkanisation maps seems to be often based on Spring and Autumn period (but with much less sense).

Are you fucking for real? A quick google search, even on the heavily CIA edited Wikipedia, would tell you Tibet ( which was part of the Mongolic Dzungarian empire at the time) was annexed by Qing Empire in the 1700s.
