As the site is still not that popular, sometimes 3 days or more would pass by and still see the same damn posts. We should have option to also HIDE sticky posts that we already seen once and no longer must see it for weeks.
Yeah, the sticky posts thing is especially annoying. Okay, I’ve already read this admin announcement. I don’t need to see it every single time I open the app.
Some apps do this for you. I use connect and it makes post reqd as you scroll and you can tell it to hide read posts.
I think a middle ground for the profile setting would be nice
Why is it even hiding posts from myself? Why is it impossible to even search for posts that that feature has hidden?
That’s why I disabled the setting and are currently exclusively using sync to browse
I use the Hide Read Posts feature through the app I use (Memmy) because the feature through Lemmy itself is really bad. It caused all sorts of issues for me, including the ones you listed.
