I guess there’s a minor benefit for increasing the contact point between chain and chainring, reducing stress on chainring and likehood of the chain falling off. I guess you can also run a longer chain, so that it’s easier to repair on the way without carrying extra links with you
What’s going on with the chain between the chain ring and the lower derailer? Looks like a guide to reorient the chain, but why?
