I like the auto-bumping when I am using the “hot” sorting option, provided the bumps are for posts that are actually hot. I have noticed that the sort appears to be point-in-time and any new post is bumping.
I cannot figure out how to prevent this from happening. If I view “top day” I initially see all the top posts of the day, but then still see new posts bumping my feed.
I think the bug happens on mobile/ website but not for the android app jerboa. I can’t speak for the ios app mlem but there’s might avoid this too
