I want to run a mailserver and a jellyfin server at first.
For mail server you’ll need:
- dovecot
- dovecot-pigeonhole
- postfix
- amavis
- opendmarc
- opendkim
Also be prepared, the mail server setup is not trivial.
Additionally, you’ll need:
- local-unbound
- chrony
I can’t help you for jellyfin, never installed it manually - I run it on unRaid Linux in docker.

Jellyfin has good hardware requirements since the server processes the video. Chances are, an old computer turned server wouldn’t meet them.
