@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games I’m glad I didn’t have magazines telling me to expect exactly the arcade experience, because I was quite happy with the cut-down Super NES version with a total lack of 3D & lighting effects. Also, I don’t recall Nintendo Power attempting to insult the reader’s masculinity, despite the “Play It Loud” campaign doing things like making Kirby eat a human whole in a television ad.
