And as for the run-up to Halloween, what’s more perfect than the preview for Ghostbusters: The Videogame on Wii?

Out of curiosity, have you seen the new Ghostbusters film?
And if so, did you like it?
I’ve yet to see it myself and I’m a little apprehensive to be honest.
I adore the first one, as well as a the second one.
Went into the reboot with the mind set of “screw all those misogynistic losers who hate on it because all 4 are women”.
But sadly, I ended up hating it for a ton of other reasons. 😔
Liked Afterlife quite a bit although it’s not paced very well and is a very uneven film.
@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games Quick recap, loved 1 & 2, enjoyed the 2016 reboot and loved Afterlife.
Frozen Empire is a lot of fun but maybe leans too hard on original cast cameos. (Maybe give them a rest now, go your own way.) James Acaster is criminally under-used.
Not quite as good as Afterlife but still very enjoyable for this biased Ghostbusters fan.
It makes me laugh that I learnt where most of the film was shot but I won’t spoil anything.

Ah, I’ll temper my expectations then.
I don’t really mind the cameos, but I can understand that.
The best part of Afterfile for me was Mckenna Grace.
Absolutely brilliant take on Egon’s granddaughter.
Heard that she gets pushed to the sidelines a bit in Frozen Empire, which kinda upsets me even before seeing the film…
@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games @UKFilmNerd@mastodon.me.uk The one thing I didn’t like about Answer the Call was that, because 3-D was in fashion again, they did the thing-jumps-at-the-screen gag. Which, I only just realized, would have also been around in movies when the first one was released, but as a dying trend until IMAX.
