I want to be cynical and question how liberals will respond to this but this is a catastrophic death toll in one of the most neglected (and beautiful) corners of the US.

People need to brace themselves for the worst. They said about 1000 are unaccounted for.

Literally thirty minutes of warning could have saved just about everyone. Unbelievable this many died to fires within walking distance of the ocean
