If I lived anywhere in a 50°C area I’d want to move away to someplace like Siberia. I’d rather take cold over that sort of sweltering heat.

My mother in law just came back from Marrakesh, a city that infamously gets pretty hot over the summer, and she said it’s completely unbearable. I will also add that Agadir is infamous for being something like 10-15 degrees hotter than most other parts of Morocco, but it’s been getting insane over the last 5 years. Quite a shame really, because Morocco had spent the pandemic years doing massive infrastructure projects that would normally be considered too distruptive. The transformation from 2019 to 2022 was pretty wild, and pretty much everyone was a lot safer as a result of it.

an average a320 flight consumes about 7090 liters of fuel = 5000kg, per flight. that translates to almost 15 tons of co2 released per flight.

a 747 tank holds 180 tons of fuel

    a 737 holds 24 tons

    an a 320 holds 20 tons.

also russians did well by destroying the gas guzzeling antonov-225: wanna ship ur high voltage transformer overseas? do it by sea.

imagine each of these fuckers releasing 15 tons of co2 each time they take off and land!
