Update: I tried it and it didn’t federate to Hexbear even after a half hour.
Changing it to :debate-pervert: did nothing interesting on Lemmygrad, so I just changed it back.

As an aside, I appreciate that most people do expand their emotes so that everyone on all instances get to enjoy them
Usually I tab complete them on desktop resulting in the embedded images form but just use them as raw colon codes when on mobile
