People who think Harris isn’t left enough, and won’t vote, are helping Trump. It’s as easy as that.

Ah yes. The good old MAGA crowd, trying to make a black woman president. They also like to volunteer at soup kitchens and give toys to children with disabilities.

No shit sherlock. You need to simplify your messaging in practice if you want it to work.

Ex: “Israel is actively spreading the war to Hezbollah and will drag the USA into Lebanon”.

Don’t say what you care about per se. Say what you know will get the other side to pay attention. Don’t double down on useless memes that have limited reach. Find a simpler message with wider reach and run with it. Say less to minimize the possibility of conflicting with your audience’s ideology.

The purpose of this meme isn’t to make people aware of what continued support for Israel will cause, the purpose is to punch left.

I’m not punching left, I’m punching right. Tankies might be left from your point of view if you’re a centrist, but they’re right from my point of view as an anarchist.

This meme is making the same point as my last post to this community. https://lemmy.ca/post/25784829

I mean tankies are authoritarian so I think they’re to the right by any metric

Technically, authoritarian isn’t left or right. Authoritarian vs Libertarian is the Y axis on the political map, and Left vs Right is the X axis. It’s why tankies are both left wing and authoritarian

The political compass is fake. If all the spaces that existed on the political compass represented coherent ideologies, then capitalists could be anarchists. But there’s no such thing as ancaps, and there’s no such thing as authleft. Anarchists are leftists and authoritarians are rightists. The means of production can either be owned by the people or by an owning class. It doesn’t matter if the owning class is Capital, the monarchy, or the state. They’re all the same.

This honestly makes a lot more sense to me than that compass ever did. I always felt it was getting at something real, but wasn’t a great model of it. I think you probably nailed what reality is here.

Well in that case everyone should be able to agree that I’m punching to the right. Except for the tankies who think they’re leftists, only agree with the part of the quote on the camera, and think I’m punching left as a result. Mystery solved!

This meme’s format could have been better. The contrast between the font and the character kind of loses the punch.

What has happened in Gaza over the past nine months is devastating. The images of dead children and desperate hungry people fleeing for safety, sometimes displaced for the second, third or fourth time. We cannot look away in the face of these tragedies. We cannot allow ourselves to become numb to the suffering. And I will not be silent. Let’s get the deal done, so we can get a ceasefire to end the war. Let’s bring the hostages home. And let’s provide much needed relief to the Palestinian people.

This is what Kamala said shortly after a meeting with Netanyahu, which she said brought Israel and Hamas closer to a ceasefire than they’ve been before. This is what she is doing, while she is Biden’s vice president, relies on Biden’s campaign money, and still needs Biden’s political connections and endorsement. What’s she gonna say when she’s president and she doesn’t need to play nice with Biden anymore? I can’t wait to find out.

Right, how could I forget. As Vice President, Kamala has direct access to the big red “end the genocide” button.

Name an action a vice president can take that isn’t just words.

Which of those attributes makes someone unable to stop sending weapons to a genocidal state?
