just realised the flimsy stella mccartney lettering on my fake women’s away kit is falling off, apparently already lost an A and a T at some point. Oh well.
i really need to learn how to take proper care of kits that i wear, no matter what i do it feels like the lettering / prints always get fucked up quite a bit
Wash them inside out and hand wash or delicate cycle 🤣
But tbh the real ones are flimsy too, it’s like the lettering material now is very low quality
I’m assuming it’s intentional to make people buy next season’s tbh
I find the biggest help is to let them hang dry right side out after washing inside out on delicate. No idea whether it helps, but my Ramsey shirt circa 2018 is only now starting to lose some of the stripes.
Why do I have a feeling we aren’t actually going to sign more than 1 player despite the outgoings?
If it helps, I think we’ve been heavily delayed by Copa/Euros, and we still have at least 2 senior players (Ramsdale and Reiss) who absolutely need to go this season. From a financial standpoint we’re apparently solid, so not signing at least one player to replace them would be pretty criminal.
“absolutely” is harsh tbh, i would love if Ramsdale stayed, even though he’d probably not be too content about it. Nelson is also fine as depth imo, but probably ideally get someone better.
“Absolutely” doesn’t mean from a quality standpoint; if we keep Ramsdale for another season his market value is likely to plummet and as you say, he’ll be unhappy with it. I’d love to see Reiss as backup to Saka (just because his quality matches the amount of expected minutes), but nothing that Mikel has said or done indicates that that’s going to happen.
honestly, I don’t see that we’ll be getting anyone even comparable to Ramsdale as backup, thus i’m fine with keeping him, even if the market value drops cuz of it. Reiss though we’ll see.
I guess on Ramsdale, the question is: what do you think we’ll get for him this summer vs next summer (with 1 season left on contract)? If we could get anything more than 15M, I think we have to recoup our losses. The fact that we’re kind of at our limit for income generated (and that we’re not a multi-club model or owned by a petrostate or both) means that we have to sell when there’s a chance.
eh, i guess you’re right. I’m just sick of what feels like Wenger-era vibes over finances, and getting mocked for it, while others win trophies by breaking the rules.
Yeah, I feel you. It sucks taking the high road and getting punished for it. I still remember how aghast everyone was that we wouldn’t give the ball back to the other team when they faked injury, and how vindictively happy I was that we were dishing it out.
My dream scenario is that we win the league this season, City is found guilty of at least some of their charges, and we’ll have won “the right way”, in contrast to their fuckery.
