I feel currently Photon is the best web UI for lemmy, while Photon’s front page only provides feeds of posts, but lemmy-ui or Alexandrite further provides feeds of comments. Personally I think feeds of comments are a good way to find interesting contents. Will Photon consider add such a feature?

Ah, just feeds of comments? I guess I could do that. I don’t know how I’ll make it interface well though.

My idea would be adding a knob (perhaps named ‘type’ or ‘level’) at the left side of ‘location’ of the frontpage to toggle between posts/comments.

The issue is that it’s a decently rare action and shouldn’t be near sorting, which is used very frequently.

I hope I understand your concern correctly. I think being near sorting is okay because actually the ‘feeds of comments’ also needs sorting algorithms. You may check lemmy-ui and Alexandrite sites as references. Besides, the options of sorting algos may be the same as ‘feeds of posts’ except ‘comments’.
