Just downloaded the Android beta. When I tried to log in with artemis.camp, it took me to Firefox, where I logged in and pressed authorise, and then I went back to Artemis and it said waiting for browser. Now when I press the artemis.camp button again it brings me to a white screen in Firefox, and still says waiting for browser.
I’ve also tried it with chrome but same issue
I had a similar issue, the fix is to reinstall the app, at least that worked for me
I also couldn’t log in. Tried multiple browsers. Uninstalled, installed and then I went to login right away without doing anything else. Then it worked.
Thanks for that tip. Uninstalled and reinstalled and I’m back in business.
Also stuck at the authorization step; I’ve gotten one error where it says artemis.camp server can’t be reached, but the website itself is still available.
Auth worked yesterday, commenting from app now!
Yup same here. Gets stuck at https://artemis.camp/authorize?code_challenge=… I’ve tried both on Samsung Internet and Chrome.
Initially I also got stuck during login. Waited an hour, and now able to login on Artemis.camp instance.
Have you been able to log in since? The instance had some hiccups at the beginning but is. Ring actively worked on and enhanced.
I followed the instructions of other people in the comments and deleted the app and reinstalled it, and that worked. For some reason clearing storage and cache didn’t work, I had to actually delete it.
Hijackin the post to ask (the new entry option is disable in Artemis): is Artemis.camp an instance for the long haul, or is it just for testing and will be it discontinued after the API launch?
Anyway, thanks for the great app!
This is a great question. I hope its for the long haul because I have come to like the instance. As it is artemis.camp is near 500 users. If it remains a default server for Artemis, then I think it could easily become one of the larger instances for /kbin.
But, I’d also understand if it weren’t a permanent server. Personally, I would not want to deal with the the costs and responsibilities associated with running an instance.
Artemis.camp is here to stay. It’s being deployed and maintained with longevity in mind. It will be used to implement early changes before deploying them on larger instances like Kbin.social and Kara.bin. You can make an account and plan to keep it on the long run.
