I ended up stopping my use of Plex just for the multiple annoying things that kept adding up for me, it made it feel like a product I was using instead of a product I was hosting. It felt like some settings weren’t sticking and I’d always end up on the recommended tab despite explicitly avoiding it.
I am a lifetime pass holder and still host, but have found myself using jellyfin more these days.

I’ve found they’re also not prioritising the right things, like why would I want to integrate live TV into my “media server”? I’d much rather they integrate things such as better av1 support

I think it’s fair to have these kind of discussions. I have the lifetime pass too but it is a much different thing today than it was ten years ago.
