It’s a huge dog that likes to bite people’s throats. Instead of restraining the dog, the home owner has a fairly unreasonable set of instructions for the guests to follow to not die.

      Just classic absurdist humor.

well since you explained the comic, thanks by the way for explaining it, it’s not so absurdist, some dog owners really do expect visitors to adapt their behavior to accommodate the misbehavior of the dogs.

Which is absurd, and also real, which makes it even more absurd, and funny.

        Thanks.

Although, I don’t know how would I’ve guessed the dog likes to bite people’s throats.

I almost never understand the jokes of this comics.

keep your hand across your throat

What’s the purpose of doing that around a massive dog?

hand confidently on the dog’s head

Is the dog happy or angry? What change is this expected to cause in the dog?

          massive lawsuit

How would the dog cause a massive lawsuit? What does that have to do with someone protecting their throat?

Anyway, it’s just kind of absurd that he expects this from everyone who comes to the door.

I’m at a total loss here. What’s that squarish environment they’re in? What’s going on with the sequence of english letters under the picture?

I guess some things will always be beyond my comprehension. Anyway, I’m off to walk my three pit rescues!
