Hi everyone!
With the season upon us I would like to start posting stickied game threads (pre, during, and post) for the community. I would love for this to be done automatically, but haven’t programmed anything above the level of of excel macros so help and suggestions here would be most appreciated.
And so far I have had to take exactly zero actions as mod. I don’t really foresee that changing soon, but would like to take this chance to lay out a first draft of rules for community feedback now before we may get to the size that occasional action is needed. Since we are still small, I think the following rules will be sufficient, with maybe more added later if we grow to a point where spam needs to be controlled more. The first draft is as follows:
Rule 1 Obey Lemmy World rules as listed here. This includes not posting any illegal content, not posting any NSFW content as this is not an NSFW community, and not posting or commenting in a way that harasses, disturbs, or discriminates against any user for any reason.
Rule 2 Posts and comments must be related to the Kansas City Chiefs or the NFL. Occasional posts that are related to the sport of football in general will be allowed if they are posted with the intention of discussing some feature of the NFL. (For example, a post discussing the XFL’s different kickoff rules with the intention of discussing the pros and cons of the kickoff rules in the NFL)
Rule 3 No posts or comments that support brigading other communities.
And that’s it. Feedback is welcome, lets see if I can figure out a game thread system by Sunday…
I think a great season would be to lose 3-4 games and play in the conference championship. There are too many variables, like injuries, calls not going our way, or players just having an off game, not to mention there are other great teams, to predict more.
