I hate youtube channels where the owner read some story or article while showing his face which does not add any value to the video.
A good example about what I am talking about here:
I remember a YouTube channel with the name of Lazy Masquerade, it was about crime stories, long time ago he wanted to stop adding crime photos to the video and just record himself reading. At that moment I stopped following and watching his videos as it was bad.
I just don’t like when YouTube channels do this.
„Reaction“ videos, and especially whole reaction channels are the worst. For every one that might add something of value there are thousand others that are absolutely vapid and useless.
It is mindblowing to me that someone would watch something like: „hey its your guy uselessperson again. Y’all wanted me to listen to XYZ. Let’s go [listening to music] okay, that was cool. What do you think? Comment below, like, subscribe, hit the bell and see you next time“
Why? Seriously.
Could you just not watch those videos, then?

I haven’t seen Lazy Masquerades face for a long long time now, aside from in odd-occasional paid promotion bits. The last couple of years at least its been the usual relevant photos and stock footage, perhaps losing viewers like yourself made him switch back to what worked?
I don’t know, after he did that I lost all interest in his channel and never bothered to check it again…
Then check out 2 creators to get what those videos should be, “Very Nadav Show” and anything by Simon Whistler. If you ever listened to Your Mom’s House podcast, Nadav was their producer for a very long time until recently. Simon Whistler has a boatload of different channels where he has something write on a topic which he then reads, while adding in his own tangents or takes on the topic which often actually add a bit of fun to the video, especially on his crime shows when he talks about some horrific murders.
