      “In January, Google CEO Sundar Pichai warned employees that more layoffs would be needed this year for the company to reach “ambitious goals.”” Kinda odd that they have these ambitious goals but need fewer people than they have to achieve them. Are these ambitious goals in the room with us right now?

        Yeah. Sounds like “Ambitious short term stock price inflation - because someone influential just had their options mature”.

        Feels like the top talking shareholders are asleep at the wheel. Or just idiots.

    For years I wanted to work at Google, seemed like a nice environment and great pay but after years and years learning about how it is like to work there I lost interest. I was even contacted by a recruiter and decided not to proceed, I might not have gotten an offer anyway but it seemed more and more like a nightmare.
