    Which is pretty much the same thing. We’re all on the same ‘platform’, even if we are individually not accessing it from the same place.

      people can read and respond to lemmy posts via mastodon, which is definitely not pretty much the same thing.

        It is. We are all accessing the same ‘backend’, after all. Or more specifically, the data on said back end gets synchronised between everyone, but that amounts to the same thing.

          but lemmy is the ‘frontend’, so saying “X of lemmy” is still not really correct or useful.
