Texas has separated at least 26 migrant family units on the southern border since July 10 under Gov. Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star border initiative, according to Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid immigration attorney Kristin Etter.
Its two seperate actions, applying for asylum and illegally immigrating. If they were honest people, they would have gone to an embassy or official border crossing, and applied. Instead they illegally immigrated and only after they got caught did they apply for asylum.
Also, why would they only arrest the father if they all broke the law?
Also, why is Texas enforcing immigration law when it’s outside of their pervue? They handed the mothers and children over to CBP, so they know the proper procedure; why should they be selectively enforcing the law here?

Your made up narrative is very entertaining, but you have no idea what their intentions are and the asylum law makes no distinction.
And again, it’s not up to Texas to enforce immigration law.
And again, why only arrest the father?

Also crimes can be handled at multiple levels.
Your assumptions are irrelevant.
