minus-squarecynar@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up7·7 months agoLikely a sunk cost issue. He initially did it for a small quick gain. That then spiralled. By the time Woods came to try and reclaim his name, the other guy had his entire life tied up with it, so couldn’t disentangle it and run.
What was wrong with this guy’s original identity? Seems like a lot of trouble to take out some car loans.
