Well, that didn't last long did it. After a first release, GitLab have already pulled down the Nintendo Switch emulator suyu project, due to a DMCA hit as a result of it being forked from yuzu which Nintendo shut down.

That said everyone’s on GitHub and the options are either 1. Microsoft don’t federate and everyone stays on GitHub because they don’t want multiple accounts, or 2. Microsoft do federate and the whole system is at risk of getting EEE’d
I suppose we just wait for them to do something egregious to make everyone want to move to a new platform and have one ready for when they do

I remember there was a hubbub about gitea not too long ago and a new fork was already getting popular but that didn’t have federation support IIRC.
It was forgejo – and here’s the activtypub library for code collaboration!! Hype to see this is making big progress.
