Please forgive my ignorance but i am new: When i subscribe to a non-local instanced community. I can see the posts from that community only in “all”. Is there a way to filter posts by community?
All I see is local or all as options. Am i doing something wrong?
I got to it via this button at the top of the UI:
It looks to me like your app hasn’t caught up with your subscriptions yet. The first day I used Jerboa nothing showed up in my subscriptions list even though I hit subscribe on a bunch of communities. I went to bed and by the next morning it was working fine.
This is probably one of those “growing pains” things that Lemmy and Jerboa are gonna be going through for a while while the folks behind the scenes get things ironed out. I’d just give it a bit and see if they spontaneously appear tomorrow like mine did. If you’d prefer you can probably open a ticket on the jerboa github about it, although I’m sure the developers have a lot of things to work on at the moment so it might not get priority yet.
Interesting! Indeed, the subscription list only updates when i force quit and reopen.
