The colony of South Carolina was the most radical one south of Virginia.
They’ve always been radical.
Nothing much has changed.
Yesterday’s #radical is the #reactionary of today.

@paninid@mastodon.world @histodons@a.gup.pe well I’m voting for Nikki Haley in the primary since the Democratic primary isn’t competitive. I want to vote against Trump as many times as possible
@paninid That’s an oversimplification, Runyan. Complex problems don’t lend themselves to simplistic answers. Plantation captains of industry couldn’t live without extracting labor they didn’t have to pay much for and you see that even today with attempts to roll back child labor laws in the face of stemming the tide of illegal immigrants, whom they hire for the purpose of wage theft because they know they won’t file a complaint with the Labor Department…and then whine in public about illegal immigration. NeoConfederates are the scumbags of the earth.
@claralistensprechen3rd
You are not wrong.Can you please share the root of the “Runyan” reference, please?
I’ve never been called that, nor know what it means, to have identified as such, and would really appreciate knowing for my own self-education.
🙏
@paninid@mastodon.world I don’t understand your comment, Sampath. Only Runyan50 can explain any root of Runyan 50 comments. Who called you what, exactly, and where? Identified as such what, exactly?
@claralistensprechen3rd@friendica.myportal.social Sorry, didn’t realize you were referencing another post.
@paninid@mastodon.world So are you, apparently. What you’re talking about isn’t in this one, and I suspect a deletion somewhere.
@claralistensprechen3rd@friendica.myportal.social
I believe it was this, fwiw: https://mastodon.world/@paninid/111984991592320607@paninid@mastodon.world Then I remain in the dark as to the nature of your subsequent comment because there’s no way I can answer for Runyan and whatever it may have been that he called you, a thing I still see missing from your citation.
