The data show the Democratic Party retaining advantages among people of color and young adults, but in 2023 it was in a weaker position among these groups than at any point in the past quarter century. Democrats’ reduced support among Black and Hispanic adults should be especially concerning for the party, given Republicans’ continued strength among White adults, who remain the majority of the electorate.
People who end up voting for a party that abjectly hates them rather get the party they deserve but not the party they need.
It’s not that Republicans are picking them up in any great number. They’re going independent.

Not really. Independent isn’t a party, despite some attempts to grab the designation for a third party. It’s literally just a party identification metric that means neither. The ideological polling hasn’t shifted much so many of these people will probably still vote blue if they vote.
I don’t understand those confused Hispanics. I’m Hispanic myself and I’m well aware of those minority-hating politician fuckers.
