I think it’s fair to say JR has had some highs and lows in AEW so far. Using him for bigger matches so he has his energy up seems to work well though. At the very least, it would be cool to get him to commentate for Sting’s last match.

I’d be surprised if they don’t re-sign him tbh, but I do agree. I don’t want JR full time on every show cause tbh he’s just past his prime, and the longer he goes the worse he gets (as one would expect when ya get older), but those short bursts? Still perfect. Give him a match with people he’s interested in and then let him take a nap and get a sandwich.
If nothing else keep the man around for his BTS skills.
I’ve enjoyed those sit down interviews they do with JR sometimes too. Really helps a feud.
