With a group of friends, we started a vanilla world. At the point we’re at now, we’ve launched 1000+ rockets, have hundreds of bots doing their work, train stops that activate and deactivate when necessary, full solar panel powered and artillery outposts that make sure no biter nest exists within the boundary of our pollution cloud.
Which brings us to the point that we feel we got everything out of this run that we can… And wonder what now? What do you think is the next step for a challenge that doesn’t make it so complicated that people stop having fun?
Try mods that change up the gameplay and how you build stuff.
Michael Hendricks does some really cool difficult challenge Factorio scenarios that you could steal ideas from.
Also how the heck do you get friends to actually stay committed to co-op for that long? I can’t even finish a civ game with my friends lol.
hello, I think you have 2 possible routes:
- embrace the “factory must grow” and aim to increase your SPM until your hardware melts, or
- start a new factory with mods, my personal suggestion is to go with a Space Exploration
honestly the #2 is more fun IHMO :D
Do it again on a harder difficulty. There’s a lot of tweaking you can do to make things harder without making it insanely difficult.
