    Where are the people that always stammer “… Until you need them!” when shit like this happens all the fucking time?

      Wouldn’t it make more sense to look at the ratio of police attacks on the victim vs reasonable encounters? You can look at anything and say it happens all the time. The comparable risk vs the alternative should be the important consideration.

        I think it would make more sense for cops to just not murder the people that called them for help.

        Do you have any examples of anyone that called the cops so they could shoot the cops that came to help?

        If you don’t, there’s zero comparisons to make.
        The simple answer is don’t murder people that call for help.

          I’ve read about callers shooting at police but I don’t know how common it is.

          I also think you’re under estimating how complicated a hectic situation can be. You should watch some body camera footage. You get the sense that in some cases reasonable people can make mistakes. It’s also a good way to see the difference training can have.
