Calling for the police for domestic violence must be like leaping from a tenth story window to escape a building fire. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t, but at least you took a slim 1% chance at living to see another day.
What is the ratio of police encounters ending poor for the person calling 911? Gotta be better than 1%.

LASD needs to be fully disbanded, every agent investigated thoroughly and imprisoned for their crimes, and going forward laws need to be passed to prevent any law enforcement organization from having any association of being an actual violent gang.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to look at the ratio of police attacks on the victim vs reasonable encounters? You can look at anything and say it happens all the time. The comparable risk vs the alternative should be the important consideration.
I think it would make more sense for cops to just not murder the people that called them for help.
Do you have any examples of anyone that called the cops so they could shoot the cops that came to help?

The simple answer is don’t murder people that call for help.I’ve read about callers shooting at police but I don’t know how common it is.
I also think you’re under estimating how complicated a hectic situation can be. You should watch some body camera footage. You get the sense that in some cases reasonable people can make mistakes. It’s also a good way to see the difference training can have.
