Hi! Since i don’t want to get forced into TPM with Win11, and with the great improvements in game compatibility in the last years, i am thinking about switching to Linux.
System Specs:
- AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
- 32GB RAM
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (due for an upgrade tho, probably nvidia again)
- 2 M2 2280 drives
The last time i worked with Linux was with Debian Jessie, and messed up my system more than one time (chalking it up as learning experience). So my question is: which current distribution is best suited for gaming for me without much messing around too much?
I suggest you pop os (it’s the one I use on my systems, for gaming too). The suggestion I can give to you is to don’t try random things you find on internet but try to understand what you are doing exactly to your system, and for most of the stuff you don’t need to mess around (I never did something “strange” in two years since I fully switched to Linux).
i was out of my depth when i needed x86 support on my x64 system for something, and somewhere along the line i landed in dependency hell ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
and the first time i just failed installing graphics drivers for an iGPU, but i worked that out later on, so at least i know i am able to learn :-)
i will take a look at it, thanks for the suggestion!
