For me it’s Deus Ex Mankind Divided. I played the original when it was new but barely remember it and I owned shadow war and never got into it.

However Human revolution blew me away. I loved that game so much. I still think about it and actually am making this post because I finally started cyberpunk last night and got human revolution vibes like crazy.

However I bought mankind divided on my birthday when it released. Happened to be right around the same day. I turned it on, walked a few steps and turned it off. For whatever reason I’ve never turned it on again.

It’s so slow. I forced myself to play it but as the game went on I loved it

The first part in the snow is a slog. I’ve only beaten it once because I didn’t want to deal with that again.

The first couple hours are beautiful and cinematic, but it’s a brutal gameplay introduction.

When you walk into one of the cabins and spot a can of peaches on a shelf you can loot, you fumble your way overthere, awkwardly bumping into every object and having to pan the camera around half a dozen times to figure out there’s a table leg in the way. You finally get close enough to highlight the item and select to loot it. Arthur shuffles a little, walks up, stops, turns around, does a 180 and walks up to it again, stops, reaches out, picks up the can, makes a gruff “Hrm…”, opens up his bag, puts the can in his bag, turns around and shuffles a little to the left while one foot stands on something invisible.

You then turn the camera around and see 5 more cans of peaches.

Yep, pretty much this. The first shootout was frustrating because while trying to follow the tutorials prompts, I kept wandering off in directions I wasn’t even pressing. Then in the horse riding part after that, where you walk across the mountain cliff in the snow, my horse literally walked me off the edge twice before I decided the game wasn’t worth playing for me, good story or no.
