they have bots, AI, and astroturfing, their numbers will be fine despite quality having gone downhill for some time
Yeah, for a while corpos have their finger into astroturfing the shit out of almost every product. At some point it will have barely any user, but bots and corpo accounts.
They were already doing fuck-all in terms of ad money.
They made over half a billion in revenue last year, most of it from ad money. The problem is that spez keeps bleeding that money chasing pipe dreams like reddit crypto and reddit NFTs.
They’re downward spiral is by this point inevitable. It takes time for a site to fully die and even the the URL usually still resolves, kinda like now MySpace and digg are still around in some form but totally irrelevant
They are turning more and more into Digg.
