What’s modern gaming convention that should no longer be practiced?

Single-player games becoming an afterthought. Yes, I enjoy playing mmorpg’s, but also, sometimes I just want to play a game that doesn’t require other players (or an internet connection). This creep of everything becoming multiplayer pushes people to min/max everything and just generally ruins casual gaming.

        Any recommendations?

        I’m not a hardcore gamer but I’m exclusively a single player (PS5)

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are not only wonderful games, but also peak Star Wars imo if you’re into that.

At this point, MMOs and mobile games can have their place, fans and markets. But the classic single-player games should never be abandoned. Large portions of gamers will always want and demand for single-player games. They always provide the best and most memorable gaming moments & experiences.

I find we are coming back from this, it was definitely the case 10 years ago or something, but multiplayer games are kind of falling off a bit.

Im into fighting games, games known to be mainly multiplayer/competitive and for the first time Street fighter tried to make a big single player experience which has been quite well recieved.
