It was supposedly almost completely done, but were forced to can the entire project due to politics and studio meddling. Now all that remains is a single trailer. Then the higher-ups took the name and slapped it on a new IP, which became Prey(2017).

2017 Prey never grabbed me like the 2006 one. Walking on walls & ceilings, bizarre teleporting, and size changing mechanics were so much more interesting than the mechanics that 2017 Prey got. Also, all of those alien weapons.

Then along came a movie named “Prey”, featuring an American native and aliens. That trailer fooled me so much, it had to be intentional.

Prey 2006. This trailer got me so hyped back when it first came out.
