I watched the demo from P.T (Silent Hill) and I was pretty excited since I like horror games. When I heard it was canceled, I was both sad and dissapointed.
I got retroactively disappointed. Played the old Silent Hill games last year, loved them, and then had to watch the trailer for Silent Hills and realize what a huge bummer it is that that cool AF horror game never happened.
I remember watching the demo and just thinking that the game would be absolutely impossible to play without a walkthrough, and what fun is horror if you know what’s coming?
What it delivered was an example of what horror genre it would rely on, and it was something that it delivered well in a small amount of time. So naturally, to those who would prefer something like this over the oversaturation of games relying on jump scares, it showed a lot of promise.

Still have the PS4 demo, and I get people that come over (especially non gamers) to try it all the time.
It’s super fun to see people lose their shit, especially when the game fakes glitching out and restarting.
Dude, Junji Ito was gonna be involved in PT. I’m fucking shaking and crying rn
No, you’re not.
No, Junji Ito wasn’t involved. That was a rumor that he denied. He had dinner with Kojima, he wasn’t involved

Visage is a similar concept and is very much playable.
I get it. But what was there to be disappointed about? We didn’t exactly see much of anything. It was just the hallway on repeat?

Pt came out when i was in my early/mid teens. I will never forgive my mother for getting rid of ps3 which had pt on it, i never even got to play it
The PT demo while very short was just epic, it was sad to see it go.
Kotor remake
Some silver lining- Visage very much captures the horror of PT.
