Hi everyone, I’m going to every NFL subreddit to see what fan bases want for Christmas! So what do you Falcons fans want?

He’s so close to actually being a good coach it’s frustrating. If he’d stop getting so fucking cute with short yardage and goal line play calls he’d probably be above average. Unfortunately, I think it’s just who he is as a person that forces him to try and prove he’s the smartest guy in the room.

The team is what he wants it to be. We are physical, we run the ball, we play defense, we don’t commit many penalties…and all of those are signs of good coaching, but Arthur isn’t good enough of a playcaller to maximize the offense.

Maybe we should hire someone so Smith can focus on being the head coach and stop trying to do too much. Short yardage plays are the ones that frustrate me the most with this team and it’s clearly the play calling.

This is the part that is so fucking frustrating. With Matt Ryan and even with Marriota there were flashes where we could see him cook. But suddenly this year it seems like he is beyond over thinking stuff. I mean, everyone makes the same comment. But it seems like he is constantly trying to prove how smart he is. Sure you can blame some of this on Des and Hein being bad but honestly a lot of their play seems on Arthur.

I really wanted him to be the guy; the first year.5 sold me on him so hard. Then suddenly this year I was like fuck this guy. I’m all for him and Des turning it around but, I’m just so confused by his play calling all the time. I have a feeling that if we had a true OC and a QB coach we would be in a much different situation. Something in me feels like Arthur could be a great coach as more of an overall manager. I base this on purely speculation from my ass Fedexed from me to you same-day. .

That’s what AS has been doing ever since the loss to the Vikings.

Bijan has 3 touchdowns and 229 yards over the past 2 games. We have 82 rush attempts vs 42 pass attempts, and zero “crazy trick plays” over those 2 games as well.

Compare that to previous 2 weeks - where were 54 run, 72 pass.

The play calling and run focus has actually been pretty decent ever since then with Bijan used liberally in the red zone. The shift in play calling has been pretty noticeable.
