Hello. I’m a band photographer based in Vancouver, Canada.

I’ve been taking pictures for different bands for about a year and a half. Some of them pay, and some of them don’t have the budget yet, so I work for free for my portfolio.

My goal is to work with only paying clients in the future. Is there something I can do to meet bigger clients who can pay? Maybe I could send an email to a band’s representative, or something else.

Please let me know. Thank you.

If you want to look at my work, my website is jprosado.com

Try working for promoters or venues. Once your name is established with the people who bring big talent they can recommend you. And if the venue/promoter posts your stuff then the band’s management can easily contact find you.

looking at your website, the fact that your home page isnt photos showing your work is already a big miss. you need to show a variety of photos focused on the work youre pursuing. The film and street photography stuff is just fluff that should be removed if they arent part of the goal. I would consider having a separate site for your other work if you still want to promote it.
