We always know our favorite books but what about book characters?

For some reason, even after years after finishing the series, I still remember Rose Hathaway from The Vampire Academy. I most definitely have outgrown the series but I still love her spunk and humor. Mead’s development of the character was just so beautifully done.

Also, Jamie Fraser… because, I mean, who wouldn’t? 😮‍💨

Jo March from “Little Women.” Jo is lively, has a bad temper, and refuses to conform to norms.
She is modeled after the author, Louisa May Alcott, who in the 19th century, was the first woman to register to vote in her county, supported her family through her writings, although she preferred her “Blood and Thunder” stories (written under A.M. Barnard) better than her more famous children’s books, which she referred to as “moral pap for the young”. There is a chapter in her last “March Family” chronicles, “Jo’s Boys”, which describes some of the true details of someone who has become suddenly famous.
One of Miss Alcott’s more well-known quotes is that "I would rather remain a free spinster and paddle my own canoe.
Jo is the role model for strong minded, independent women everywhere. She eventually married because of pressure from the publishers, but Miss Alcott remained “a free spinster who paddled her own canoe” until she died at age 57 (I believe it was) from mercury poisoning which was a result of her service as a nurse during the American Civil War during the 1860’s. And Jo shows Louisa in all her glory.

My absolute top 3 favorites are Jude Duarte, Kaz Brekker and Holt Cook (not in any order). First of all JUDE. Shes so cool like i love her, she rose from the bottom all by herself and MADE a place for herself when Elfhame didnt offer one for her. Love that kind of determination. Kaz Brekker. HIS REVENGE. I love when characters get a good revenge when its deserved and he served the revenge in a silver plate. His plans and quick thinking is so interesting too and despite all this he still has some humor in him that i love. Holt Cook. Hes more of a sweetheart but hes so real you know?? Like he doesn’t want to murder anyone unless absolutely have to and hes really humane. He knows how to be stern tho too and has some naivety and stuff but hes just a boy and i appreciate his pureness.
