Hello everyone I’m 21 and I’ve been playing games since I was 5 years old. It’s my passion I love games so much. However I think I might have a compulsive addiction when it comes to games. You see I feel like I have to play every single new game that comes out. I don’t pick and choose what games look good or what genres I like and buy them no I buy every single game. This isn’t a flex it’s just a fact of life. Like I have this feeling that I need to play every single game that comes out. For example Avatar the game comes out next month and I’ve never even seen a movie I think they look like shit yet I feel like I must play this game. Same thing with Robocop never seen one movie in the series yet I bought the game. Does anybody else feel this way when it comes to games or am I just a lunatic?

You have an addiction my boy, I had a gaming addiction so bad that it cost me some really really good opportunities in life(girlfriends, jobs, having my own place etc.). I quit games when I realized exactly what you realized, there’s too many games and not enough hours in the day for them.

Now I’m not saying to quit permanently but you have been playing games longer than you attended school(let that sink in). Go outside and find a healthy hobby, hang out with friends, only play games with friends while at their house.

You can replay old games, especially if they’re your favorite, however many times you want. But it’s only natural in wanting to try newer games or games of different genre. Also, trying out games you missed out from years past also helps. I’ve been going on a retro gaming odyssey myself, playing a number of games I missed out in the 1990s and early / mid 2000s. I personally find many of these old games more fun than most of the newer games.
