We’re a poverty franchise, the fucking redditors could’ve done a better job building a team.

Taking a TE that high when, Jamar chase, micha, Devonta smith, Jaylen waddle, Penie Sewell, Patrick Surtain, were taking right after. Is why we will be a poverty franchise for decades

Then the following year taking the slowest wide receiver when our defense was ass and Garrett Wilson was on the board.

Then the following year taking a RB when we have an elite run game already, when arguably the best player in the draft is still on the board when historically we have had the worst pass rush in decades

Fuck my dad for making me watch this team and cursing me with being a falcons fan.

Shits funny because the fans who witnessed the Falcons do dumb things time after time knew from year 1 the new regime wasn’t about shit. Blank has been the owner for over 20 years and still hasn’t learned a damn thing. How do you allow your new hires to kick off their rebuild by drafting a fucking TE top 4, and following that up with 2 more skill picks when the defense has been shit our whole lives. Philly and SF will continue to be great because they invest in the trenches, and even when their lines are good, they keep adding.

Meanwhile we’re gearing up to draft Brock Bowers next, I’m sure.

Spending all those picks for Julio set the franchise back years, despite the fact JJ is going to the HoF, and we tripled down.

Craziest part is these idiots spending premium resources on RBs and TEs while going bargain shopping for the most important position on the team which is the QB. Smith is really that arrogant when he’s not even half the playcaller or game planner than Shanahan is.

I don’t think they ever thought he was the answer for the future but it didn’t hurt to try him out (well maybe if they thought this was the year for a big playoff run then yes it did hurt). Picking up a QB outside the 1st, and maybe even 2nd, round is a gamble. They got the picks they thought they really wanted and then picked up a guy they thought they could help become a starter. Only mistake front office made was thinking this coaching staff was gonna help Ridder improve into anything above average. Maybe he becomes the next Tome Brady under another coaching staff but def not this one

I knew Smith’s first year. He completely abandoned the style of play the falcons have had for so many years and opted for an overly complicated offense that leaves the QB vulnerable to being killed in the backfield. For two years or QBs have had an insane number of turnovers. It’s amazing to me that we didn’t draft a QB years before Matt Ryan left the organization.
