I see tickets are 800 eur round trip for basic economy ones, last time I paid 1200-1500 eur (lol), all else is at least 1k eur round trip. One way is 700 eur.

How much was your ticket usually and is 800 eur which is 850$ a good price nowadays

A quick search shows me that EVA Air has a 10h 5m direct flight from Vienna to Bangkok for about 550 EUR, if you pick the right day and buy well enough in advance.

If time is available, and you want to save as much as possible, then you can use Pegasus and SalamAir to make a 32h 30m trip with 3 stops, for as little as 219 EUR. That option takes you from Brussels to Bangkok. But, that just sounds painful!

A middle-ground option is to mix Wizz/Ulendo Airlink and Air Vistra to get an 18h 55m flight from Rome to Bangkok for about 251 EUR.

        NEVER book ANYTHING using Kiwi!

I prefer to book directly with the airlines. However, there are a few reputable 3rd party companies. But, I don’t trust any of them enough to mention names.

It has went up slightly for me the last few years but if you book early you usually save a bit i think. The trip i have this year is up about £300 already.

For me and the mrs last year it was £1300 for the 2 of of us return from edinburgh with qatar.

Covid year it was £1000 for us 2 from glasgow with emirates but it got cancelled.

And this year we are doing a multi city flight with edinburgh- doha-bali with qatar but the return home is from bangkok. so i had to book it with expedia and it was £1580 but qatar wanted £2600. Same flights are over £1900 now. I usually book with the airline but its an £800 price difference.
