Does anyone feel guilty at times about lying? I work from my own laptop doing project work and admin. No company or org laptops. They haven’t necessarily asked where I am, they simply assume I am in the region. I don’t correct them and generally just avoid the topic like local restaurants or news.

I know they would axe me immediately if they found out. The culture is very excessive lovey dovey (initially anyways - we are all a family here type stuff) but overtime I see the red flags. So I am not saying much. Keeping my head idown and working. Though I do feel guilty about this disguise and all. Anyone too?

Bruh companies would fire you immediately for their CEO literally wanting his own raise.

These people don’t give a fuck about you did those mass tech layoffs via ‘my lanyard not working’ teach you that?

Doesn’t mean you need to get all cynical, but just keep it real about how things would go if someone inept was in charge.

If they find out…lie. Get called into an emergency in person meeting? Oopsie, covid, then just book the flight a couple weeks later.

To add to this, they would also pay you 5 cents an hour if they could. As a whole corporations have brutally taken everything they possible can from workers with a smile on their face, so you should do the same (with a smile on your face). It’s not a friendship.
