I rent a room in a house where everyone shares the wifi. The wifi is not always fast and occasionally drops for 10-30 minutes at a time. I want to control it via voice with an echo pop (doesn’t have zigbee), and possibly Bluetooth.

I wanted to get a color smart bulb for my ceiling light and bathroom, both with colored lights.

1)Good idea to use Wifi Bulbs if wifi is spotty? 2)Are there any bulbs that connect to Alexa voice and Bluetooth? 3)Any company/model suggestions as well?

Since you want to use them with an Echo pop that doesn’t have zigbee, I fail to see the alternative. You could always choose another protocol and have a hub of that protocol, but you’re always going to need wifi for the echo.

If your Wi-Fi is a bit iffy, consider opting for Bluetooth smart bulbs over Wi-Fi ones. It’s a great choice for stable control. Check out the Nanoleaf Essentials Bulbs, it comes in cool colors, work seamlessly with Alexa, and use Bluetooth. Plus, its part of the Black Friday deals, so you might snag a sweet deal! Perfect fit for your setup.
