This is my first post in the forum, so I’m not too sure if this is the correct place for it. I sent an email to Filtrete customer service, and hopefully, I will have a solution in the next few days. I have followed the directions on connecting the air purifier to the app and the only thing I get is an error saying it can’t locate the device. I just connected the smart filter with no problem. I can even see that it says SAF (smart air filter) when I go to Bluetooth. I turned it on and off to see if it would show up there to verify if that’s what it actually was. I have unplugged the air purifier for 30 seconds and even moved it closer to the router. I’m hoping someone on here has an answer since I’m all out of ideas.

Some of the older dual band routers that has the same SSID for 2.4 and 5 ghz well default to 5ghz when trying to connect. I know that was the case for my previous router system and I was having a hard time connecting IoT devices as well. Until I went into the router settings, and disable the 5 ghz band temporarily to connect the IoT device and then turn the 5 ghz back on.

If that doesn’t work, you may have a faulty Wi-Fi module on the purifier
