Tap on a comment and it and the comments below it could collapse. Possibly have a colour to highlight collapsed comments. Maybe not the highest priority, but it would add some luxury. 💍😊
Tap a comment, then realize that feature already exists.
That feature exists. look for the little square icon with the - in it above the comment.
I have been searching for three minutes now. I can’t see the icon or find a way to fold a thread. Maybe I’m not the brightest. 😄
I am using the F-Droid version. Could this be a problem?
🆘
They’re talking about the desktop version. In the Jerboa app, press and hold the top edge of the comment and it and its replies will collapse.
This is improved in 0.0.33. Now it’s just tap anywhere on the comment that isn’t also a button. There’s a setting to configure if you want that comment to collapse or just the replies.
Nice. Looking forward to its release. F-Droid still has the .31 version.
You’ll get more frequent updates with the IzzyOnDroid repository:

v.0.0.33 just went live, i see! :-)
… and indeed, i can tap to collapse anywhere. Font sizes are fixed … Just some things still not al the way satisfying, will have to file another bug: a collapsed subthread all the way at the bottom can not be opened again. And it would be nice to still have some context visible on a collapsed comment, perhaps truncated and in small font.Nice! F-Droid updated to 0.0.32. Folding is much better now. Excellent!
The last collapse of a thread reopens for me, but Jerboa doesn’t s roll up automatically to show the content. Then again, I’m one version behind.
How much is still visible should best be configurable in the settings.
Awesome! That is the answer. Nice! Thank you, kind stranger.
Also, I just learned that there’s a desktop version. Sweet. 😊
Yup! In your case, navigate to lemmy.ml and log in with your details. c:
I’m using the F-Droid version as well. Make sure you’ve updated to the latest because this is a new feature that was just pushed out.
Edit: as others have said, there is no icon, just click on the comment. If you need to copy a comment you’ll need to click on the comment options and then “View Source”.
