Spoilers for the short story:
I’m a bit disappointed it spends all that time establishing characters and mining equipment, only to have the horrors of a Spartan being infected boiled down to less than a paragraph.
I’ll take any flood lore I can get, I will say I really liked the brief perspective from the flood in this, and the ending is exciting, if it ever gets picked up.
For real. All this setup and it just comes and goes.
